Criminal Complaint from Beşiktaş Fans!

The repercussions of the highly controversial match played between Alanyaspor and Beşiktaş on Sunday evening in the latest week of the Trendyol Super League were not limited to the green pitches but were carried into a massive legal dimension. Black-and-white fans, arguing that the decisions made by the central referee Adnan Kayatepe and the VAR referee Bülent Birincioğlu were completely intentional and biased, started a civil initiative and protest movement rarely seen in the history of Turkish football. The fans are demanding that collective legal action be initiated against the management of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and the officials of the Central Referee Board (MHK) on allegations of "abuse of office," "creating an environment of unfair competition," and "intentional injustice," and that those responsible be held accountable. Not wanting to settle for local legal steps alone, tens of thousands of black-and-white football fans started sending detailed complaint emails in English in an organized manner to UEFA, the top boss of European football. In these thousands of organized emails, it is stated that the referee appointment systems and VAR standards in Turkey are far behind Europe, and that Beşiktaş is systematically victimized. The sports public is eagerly waiting to see what path the judicial authorities will follow in the face of this criminal complaint and whether UEFA will give an official response to this unprecedented, organized rain of fan emails.
