Galatasaray have made a bold move in their search for a winger, with less than two weeks left in the transfer window. According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Turkish giants have submitted an official bid to Crystal Palace for Ismaila Sarr. The 28-year-old Senegal international has not closed the door and is reportedly open to talks with Galatasaray. However, Palace regard Sarr as one of their key players, and the final decision rests with the Premier League club.
Sarr had also been linked with Fenerbahce in recent weeks, with reports suggesting the Istanbul club held fee discussions with Palace. Galatasaray’s official offer now puts the two fierce rivals in direct competition for the same star.
Sarr joined Crystal Palace from Marseille in the summer of 2024 for around 15 million euros. His contract runs until June 2029, and his market value currently stands at 45 million euros. Last season, the Senegalese winger scored 21 goals and added 2 assists in 45 matches across all competitions. He played a starring role in Palace’s Conference League triumph, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer with 9 goals.
Also linked with Rafael Leao and Gabriel Martinelli, Galatasaray now await Crystal Palace’s response.
