Perhaps one of the year's most dramatic matches was played in Ligue 1. PSG left the pitch with a 2-2 draw with the two goals they found in the final moments against Lille and returned from a big defeat. The Paris side, which fell into a 2-0 loss position in the 84th minute of the match, gave a real character test in the extra time minutes. This one point was an extremely critical gain for the capital representative in the Ligue 1 points table.
The goals of the match were listed as follows: in the 21st minute Haraldsson put Lille ahead, in the 84th minute the same player carried the score to 2-0 with his second goal (note: it is stated that Bakwa also had a role in this match), in the 90+1st minute Vitinha found the goal that brought PSG back into the match and in the 90+5th minute Marquinhos scored the equalising goal, bringing 1 point to the Paris side.
The moment that marked the match came with the goal Haraldsson found in the 21st minute. Lille's young star broke down the PSG defence with the accurate shot he found and put his team ahead. This score did not change throughout the first half and the two teams went into the break with a 1-0 result. On the PSG front, the coaching staff tried to motivate their players for victory with their half-time talk, but the Paris side that came onto the pitch could not catch the rhythm they wanted.
The second goal Bakwa found for Lille in the 84th minute seemed to have solved the match. Home fans in the stands started to celebrate the victory in a festive mood. However, PSG's character in the final moments completely changed the course of the match. In the extra time minutes, the Paris side increased their attacking pressure and practically settled in the opposing half.
The goal Vitinha found in the 90+1st minute was the first step of PSG's comeback story. The Portuguese player shaking the nets with the stylish shot he found from outside the penalty area instilled hope in the fans. Then, with the goal Marquinhos found in the penalty area in the 90+5th minute, the Paris side caught the equaliser. The Brazilian defender's contribution at this critical minute stood out as a real saviour move for PSG.
The most notable event of the match, however, was experienced not on the pitch but during the warm-up. PSG's Russian goalkeeper Safonov collided with the team's goalkeeping coach during warm-up exercises and was injured. However, the Russian goalkeeper preferred to stay on the pitch throughout the match and protected his goal for 90 minutes. Safonov, who continued to fulfil his duty under such difficult conditions, became the hero of one of the match's unique stories. It is stated from the PSG front that detailed health checks will be carried out on the Russian goalkeeper. The Paris side's effort to protect the points table in the league with this one point will become clearer in the upcoming weeks.
