Significant developments are taking place ahead of the new broadcasting rights tender for the Süper Lig next season. The Turkish Clubs Association has prepared a detailed report for the upcoming tender, which directly affects the financial structure of the league. The primary goal outlined in the report is to achieve a massive leap in broadcast revenues. The current annual broadcast revenue, which sits at approximately $150 million, is targeted to reach $500 million in the new tender period.

Almost all of the clubs competing in the league are seriously complaining about the current broadcaster and especially the broadcast quality provided. Due to this widespread dissatisfaction, the clubs are favoring a radical change for the next period. According to information reported by journalist Mehmet Arslan, the probability of the current broadcaster changing stands at a very high rate of 90%.

GSM companies are showing serious interest in the upcoming tender. Additionally, major digital platforms are preparing to join the bidding process as well. The Clubs Association believes that a strong competitive environment will be created with the entry of GSM giants and digital platforms. Club executives share the view that this intense competition will make it possible to achieve the ambitious target of $500 million in broadcast revenue.
